Retiree Club
The Retirees Club of District 837 is one of the
largest and most active retiree clubs in the IAM. The purpose of this
page is to give you contact information and to post photos of the
Retiree Club Meeting speakers and members. Click on a photo to enlarge

The Retiree Club typically meets on the 2nd
Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM. The club meets at the Meeting Hall
at 212 Utz Lane (Union Hall).

If the 2nd Thursday falls on a holiday, the District
will reflect the re-scheduled day of the meeting.
The President of District 837's Retiree
Club is
THE HONORABLE CLAUDE BARNES
Claude has been a member of District 837 for over 52 years. His first 10
years with the I.A.M. pre-dated the founding of District 837 (837 formed
in 1967).He officially retired from McDonnell Douglas in 1989. Claude
has served the membership in many capacities since joining the Union in
1956. Claude did not let retirement slow him down, though. He dedicated
his retirement years to serving the interest of District 837 Retirees
and its active members. Claude is an inspiration to Trade Unionist's
everywhere and the Retiree Club has been recognized as one of the most
active clubs anywhere.
